The West Pasco All-Stars spent their 4th of July weekend in Sneads, Florida competing for the state championship in the Darlings Division. The team arrived on Friday and didn't leave until they had made a few fireworks of their own.
In their first game, the young ladies fell to the eventual tournament champions, but they kept their spirits up and put together back-to-back wins. Their run in the double-elimination tournament ended though, when they fell to Spring Hill leaving them with a 3rd place finish.
In addition to having a successful weekend as a team, there were also some individual highlights. Kylie Randolph smoked a pitch over the fence for a home run, and was the only person in any of the 5 divisions to accomplish the feat. Also, Madison and Mackenzie Beisner had inside-the-park home runs for the West Pasco girls.
All the girls, though, were able to have a fun weekend filled with memories and new friends and will be able to take what they learned from this tough competition into next season. Expect another big year from the West Pasco girls.
